The backgrounds of our nannies are varied as every nanny offers a unique personality, skillset and background. Additionally, each family is looking for their own personal Mary Poppins and we recognize that the childcare field is not one-size-fits-all. In general, our agency is looking for a roster of nannies and sitters who, across the board, are highly qualified, experienced, nurturing and loving childcare providers who meet us with a smile and with whom we would feel comfortable leaving our own children.
This depends on a number of factors. Generally speaking, every nanny and family are operating on their own timeline. However, a nanny who is motivated to be hired in a timely manner is one who is responsive to our emails, keeps their profile and resume up to date, applies to jobs they are well qualified for and is a pro-interviewer putting her best foot forward when she meets hiring families. Additionally, there are seasons where certain job types are more plentiful which plays a factor in hiring time, as well as the motivation and timeline of the hiring family. Our recruitment team is always happy to walk you through more details on the ins and outs of this process during your interview or via email.
One of many aspects that sets us apart from other agencies is that there is no cost for a childcare provider to apply with our agency, nor do we ever charge fees or take commission from childcare providers. However, due to the sensitive nature of caring for a family’s most precious children, if the childcare provider passes through the interview process, the childcare provider will be asked to complete a one-time background check via the highly regarded company Checkr, who directly collects a one-time $30.00 fee from the applicant.
